It’s spring and our thoughts naturally turn to tomatoes! Our plants are strong and ready to devote all their energy to growing roots, stems and leaves to support flowering and ripening fruit.
And if you’re still reading, you know that tomatoes are either determinate (ripens all its fruit at once) or indeterminate (grows non-stop like a vine and ripens fruit over a longer time period). We like to get some of each to stagger our crop of fresh tomatoes. Also, determinate tomatoes are more compact bushes and can be grown in small spaces and containers; indeterminates will need cages for support and extra space.
