YOU HAD ME AT HEART-SHAPED LEAVES
Redbuds are always one of the first on the spring scene. Which in and of itself is something of a miracle. But the real show comes when the light violet-pink blooms line its bare branches–even before its distinctive, glossy, heart-shaped leaves emerge. This is a tree that leaves nothing to the imagination, standing out in the spring landscape and in all four seasons with a dense canopy of dark green foliage that turn golden in fall.
We love their small stature and the way they fit into an urban or suburban landscape, as well as dotted throughout a sprawling expanse of land. Plus, no pruning required.
