BILLOWY HEARTS

It’s safe to say you’ve never seen a flower quite like the Bleeding Heart. Look closely at the blooms of these shade-loving woodland plants and you’ll see chains of white, pillowy, heart-shaped puffs with a single, delicate, creamy white protrusion dangling from the center. They remind us of a fancy, pastel puff pastry on large, bushy clumps of powdery-green foliage.

Yours will bloom in the cool of spring and stay in bloom for several weeks. Protect yours from the hottest summer sun and keep watered, as they can go dormant. We recommend marking the spot with a stake, and filling in gaps around them with other perennials like Hostas or Geraniums.
