IT’S A HOSTA WORLD, WE JUST LIVE In IT
I wasn’t a huge fan of hostas, I’m not sure why. And then I saw how many different varieties there were and how large their leaves could grow, all crinkled, curled, ridged, smooth, variegated…you name it. And then, the older I got the more I appreciated the optimistic spears bursting from early-spring ground, almost as if I had forgotten they were there over a long winter. Then, the unfurling seemingly overnight as they shake off winter and spread their wings. It’s easy to wax poetic about these guys, they’re that good.
We love ours planted in groups or borders for maximum effect. Go for a singular look with one variety, or mix it up for multiple textures and shades of green.
