First things first–let’s talk blooms! Pale pink buds emerge early in spring on leafless branches and in waves of extra large (up to 6″ across) pure white flowers. Blossoms are deliciously fragrant and can contain up to 30 petals each (which is where the starburst comes in), with an occasional flush of pink.
Royal Star is very hardy, but it can be susceptible to late frosts. Expect yours to grow with a rounded habit and up to 10-20ft tall and 10-15ft wide. To keep yours looking its best, we recommend an application of 12-12-12 All Purpose Fertilizer in March/April and October/November. A fall application of Elements will also enhance next spring’s flowers.
