THE CORAL-BARK MAPLE
This Japanese Maple variety is stunning. Its foliage is delicate and pinkish-yellow when it first opens. As the leaves mature, they turn a light green in summer, then transform to a soft yellow in fall. Once the tree sheds its leaves, you’ll see bright, coral-red bark on young twigs and branches, a welcome pop of color in an otherwise stark winter landscape.
Your Sango Kaku is a slow grower that prefers full sun to part shade and will grow up to 20-25 feet tall and 15-20 feet wide, with a graceful vase-like shape.
