This sun-loving, pollinator-friendly perennial is a favorite of bees, butterflies and a lot of us in the garden center. I think it’s because many of us are late-bloomers, too. Stachys doesn’t begin to show its magenta flower spikes until July, just when we need a little summer color. You can count on this winter hardy perennial to bloom well into October and have no trouble outlasting Indiana winters.
