Let’s start with the fact that Tuff Stuff blooms early summer through fall on both old and new wood. I mean, do we need to keep going? These guys are similar to lace-cap varieties with large deep pink petals surrounding two-toned green florets. Even the foliage is in on the secret, featuring serrated leaves that turn rich shades of bronze and burgundy in autumn.
This is a compact hydrangea, growing just 2’-3’ tall and that does best in full to part sun (avoiding too much exposure to the hottest afternoon rays). We give ours a dose of Elements in spring and fall to encourage blooms.
