Today, I’m ready to place my garden box in my landscape.

I’m putting down chicken wire before I place the box.  This is an optional step, I think I may have some critters tunneling in my landscape so thought i better protect roots from getting nibbled on.

 

 

 

 

I’m also putting some weed mat down.  Altum’s has Organic Weed Barrier that feels like heavy paper and will decompose into the soil.

 

 

 

 

I placed mine next to my deck which is right off my kitchen.  This will help me keep an eye on the garden and won’t be such a chore to maintain.  I like that I’ll be able to run out and harvest!

I’m ready for soil mix.  Next time let’s decide what we are going to plant.
